We are seeking enthusiastic Core Trainee (LAS) doctors to join our in-patient mental health teams at the Highgate East and West Mental Health Centres. These posts offer an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, within a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team.

• Gaining comprehensive experience in psychiatric assessment, patient management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Developing your skills through excellent clinical supervision and training opportunities.
North London NHS Foundation Trust provides in-patient and community mental health services across Camden and Islington. Our centres are a hub of excellence, offering tailored mental health care to diverse populations and promoting better mental health for better lives and communities.
You will ensure that all new patients admitted under your team’s care are fully assessed, including an assessment of their physical state, so that a preliminary formulation of their problems is made, at the latest within two working days of their admission. All in-patients should be reassessed as necessary and no less frequently than once per week, so that an update is made before each main ward round. You will attend ward rounds and care formulation meetings. The post holder will liaise with primary and secondary care services regarding clients’ physical health issues. They will also work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team on a wide variety of psychosocial aspects of client care.
You will maintain accurate, legible, contemporaneous and useful clinical records for all patients in whose care you are involved.
