Summary
Job Role: Machinist
Location: Redruth
Working hours: You'll be working 8-hour rotating shifts, Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00, and the night shift from 22:00 - 06:00.
Salary: Highly Competitive salary with an hourly rate ranging from £18.31ph to £20.55ph depending on experience and inclusive of shift allowance.
Acorn by Synergie is proudly working in partnership with Pall Aerospace, who are seeking a Machinist for their site in Redruth, Cornwall, on a temporary basis.
Job Overview
In this role, you'll be responsible for manufacturing tools, fixtures, and components, while working closely with production prototype projects to ensure quality and precision. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture tools, fixtures, and components in line with engineering specifications.
* Work alongside Design Engineering teams to support the development of production prototypes.
* Manufacture and test ECD tooling, ensuring it meets production component requirements.
* Perform swaging of production filter assemblies based on detailed technical drawings.
* Adhere to safety protocols throughout all tasks and ensure a safe working environment.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring it remains hazard-free.
* Verify and sign off completed tasks to confirm quality standards are met.
Skills & Experience Required: To be considered, you must have:
* Apprentice trained engineer (preferred).
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
* Strong practical skills with a focus on accuracy.
* Excellent concentration and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* General engineering background, with experience in tooling and fixture manufacturing.
