About the role

This role is responsible for all processes and matters associated with the Council’s private rent scheme including sourcing new properties and the management of a portfolio of homes that are used for the prevention of homelessness in Buckinghamshire. You will be our landlords ‘go to’ person in all matters relating to private rented offers and will develop and attract new landlords to the scheme

You will also be required to work closely and at times assist with our temporary accommodation officers in all matters relating to management of the Council’s temporary accommodation for homeless families and will be expected to work across different sites and to undertake visits as necessary. You will be a great team player and be expected to work closely with the wider housing team to ensure that placements are appropriate including undertaking of affordability and suitability assessments.

You will have excellent IT skills and a good eye for detail and will have a collaborative approach to your work. If this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you.

On-the-go:

Our ‘on-the-go’ roles mean you’ll usually start and finish your day from a base, moving around between different locations throughout the day. You won’t need a fixed desk to work from, but you’ll have access to our network where you can keep up to date with admin and the latest staff updates.

About you

You will be personable, organised and resourceful and enjoy working in a busy environment with changing priorities and a broad variety of work. You will have experience developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ideally have experience working within a partnership environment. You will have fantastic communications skills and need to be a self-starter with a can-do approach to your work and to the wider housing team objectives.

You will have significant experience of working in and or managing an autonomous business area, we would particularly like to hear from candidates that come from a property management and or lettings related field. You will be proactive and a confident communicator who has experience of leading in their business area and developing new ideas and solutions to complex problems.

This is 12 Months Fixed term contract.
