We are seeking a kind, reliable, and proactive Personal Assistant to support our two wonderful autistic children in accessing and enjoying activities in the community. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference, helping both children gain confidence, build skills, and have positive experiences outside the home.

The role will be for 4 hours per month, delivered by 2 hours a fortnight, working with one child per fortnight. You must be able to provide encouragement and reassurance to promote the children’s independence and confidence, whilst fostering a fun, inclusive, and positive atmosphere making outings enjoyable and meaningful. You must be able to always ensure their safety and well-being, managing any risks or sensory challenges they may encounter.

Our son is in year 7 and enjoys talking about movies, anime, Pokémon and playing football. He has a diagnosis of ASC, ADHD, developmental delays and high sensory needs.

Our daughter is in year 4 and adores dancing. She loves cats and likes to be a cat most of the time and learn new facts by visiting museums and places of interest. She has a diagnosis of ASC, selective mutism and high sensory needs.

The rate of pay is:
