West Lothian’s 3 Country Parks provides visitors with enjoyable countryside experiences and Countryside Attendants are required to assist in the operation of the facilities at these and other countryside locations. A large element of the job involves daily duties on the Beecraigs Caravan & Camping site, is outdoor work and supports the running of the Visitor Centres.

Candidates must have the ability to drive, be personable with good oral communication skills, have a good level of fitness and enjoy working in the outdoors. They must also have the ability to work on their own initiative and show good time management.

Posts start on 1st April 2025 and ends on 12th October 2025 (28 weeks). Staff will be expected to cover each others leave as extra work dates. The rota is worked as:-

Post 1 - + 7.5% enhancement

Share a 2-week pattern with another member of staff.

Wk1 - Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat – 6 hrs each day (12:50-19:10 with 20min break)

Wk 2 – Wed, Thurs & Fri - 6 hrs each day (12:50-19:10 with 20min break)

Average 21hrs week

Post 2

Weekly – Tues, Wed & Thurs – 6hrs each day (12:50-19:10 with 20min break)

Weekly 18hrs
