Summary
Seeking individuals interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. This position is responsible for picking material off the picking belt, to clear blockages and provide general labouring duties if required. Working in Reservoir Road, the successful candidate will be part of a team and work under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Site Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute towards the efficient running of the operation
• Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are maintained
• Co-ordinate with other operatives to ensure the correct processing of all loads
• Demonstrate personal responsibility for all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability (SHECS) policies, procedures, and initiatives
• Support diversity and inclusion, positive employee relations, and teamwork
• Support measures designed to effectively manage costs and adherence to budgetary requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality requirements
• Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and initiatives relevant to job
• Support training and performance-management initiatives

• Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
• Integrity and confidentiality
• A strong safe working ethos
Qualifications
• Experience of medium or heavy industry desirable
• Sound working knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety issues
• Previous picking experience favoured but not a necessity
