Summary
Design Delivery is experiencing significant growth and development at BakerHicks, and we’re looking for skilled professionals with both established and emerging experience to join our multidisciplinary team.
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of exciting projects across multiple sectors
This role will form the nucleus of the project team, alongside the Project Manager, Commercial Manager and Construction Manager, where you will be an integral part of design delivery, tackling interesting problems, finding innovative solutions, and delivering quality work.
You will help to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to supporting others across the team in delivering a high-quality service.
Key Deliverables
Deliver fully coordinated design solutions (functional, commercial, and programme) for enquiries, studies, and projects, proactively addressing potential design issues before they arise.
Foster strong communication and collaboration among all relevant parties to ensure an efficient flow of design and production information.
Ensure the project is adequately resourced to meet programme and technical requirements.
Oversee the completion of an integrated design programme, securing full ownership from all parties.
Effectively manage change, measured against the contract scope, ensuring cost and time are managed.
Requirements
Qualifications
Appropriate management and or leadership qualification/education
Recognised qualification/chartered status in either engineering, architecture, design management or construction management equivalent.
Experience
Demonstrable experience in design specialising in a given discipline
Extensive project management experience across all stages, with a solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools. Proven success in leading large project teams to deliver results effectively.
Commercial and practical understanding of project management involving multi-disciplinary organisations and complex contractual obligations
Proven track record of bid/tender successes and maintenance of client relationships through consistent and excellent CRM.
