Job Role

As a family run home, we offer a friendly and comfortable place of residence and provide compassionate care you would expect from a member of your own family. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere is the first thing you will notice when you visit Littlebourne House. We are a residential care home specialising in elderly care and Dementia. The majority of our residents live here on a permanent basis but we also offer respite care. Littlebourne House is a Home of 64 residential and EMI residents.

This is an exciting new role introduced to the Home.

Main Duties

• You will be a member of the Management and Administration Team overseeing and managing a team of care staff.
• You will support the Registered Manager/Deputy Manager in delivering high quality care.
• You are expected to have knowledge about CQC regulations
• You will need to be an active and encouraging senior member of the Care Team
• You are required to facilitate and undertake care needs of residents
• You are expected to undertake required training and development while maintaining the current skills levels

Skills and Requirements of the Job
• Minimum of 3 years experience at a senior level of care of older people and supervision of care staff.
• Level 4/5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or Equivalent Qualification
• People Management Qualification is desirable but not essential
• Dementia Care Training
• Understanding of CQC regulations
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Computer Literate
• Caring nature.
• Strong team member.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Supervisory skills
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good people management skills.
• Good attendance record.

Working Hours
• As per rota
• Rostered weekend and evening work will be involved
• Responsibility for out of hours emergency cover at other times as agreed with the Registered Manager
