Summary


This role is a rotational post through various aspects of the finance and procurement
function of a NHS Hospital Trust in order for you to achieve the apprentice standard
(Key skills, certificate/diploma and technical certificate) within the specified
timescale.

You will gain insight into how the Trust maintains its financial and budgetary
requirements and how through good systems of control and governance supports
the Hospital in delivering its clinical and operational objectives.

This is an 18 month Level 3 Apprenticeship training programme and it is expected
that you will attend and complete all training sessions for the programme whenever
necessary and will positively contribute to each of the areas within the rotation. Upon
completion you will have the opportunity to apply for the next level of the
apprenticeship programme in either Procurement and Supply or Professional
Accountancy.

You will be working across a broad range of services under the supervision of the
departmental staff and will assist in the provision of services within that department.

You will gain an insight into Income, Financial Accounts, Procurement and Logistics
and various aspects of Financial Management including costing and audit.

You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge but will be expected to work
within the relevant procedures and policies of the Trust and at all times under the
supervision of a senior member of staff
