Summary


We are looking for a high performing leader to work alongside the Clinical Director and Director of Operations to form the triumvirate for Care Group 1.

Care Group 1 brings together most medicalservices at Nottingham University Hospitals. Teamsprovide planned,urgent,and emergency care for adults in our local community.This is throughoutpatient, procedural, diagnostic, cancer,regional,national,and in-patient services across more than 30 wards. The Care Group Director of Nursing and Professions is a pivotal key member of the Care Group leadership team instrumental in the delivery of safe patient care to ensure key performance targets including finance, workforce and service improvement goals and targets are delivered.

The Care Group Director of Nursing and Professions is responsible for providing high level operational and strategic leadership for the Care Group and is accountable for the delivery of clinical quality standards, patient safety and the overall patient experience in the Care Group.

Working with the Trust Executive the Care Group Director of Nursing and Professions is responsible for the leadership, line management and professional standards of the Care Group’s nursing and AHP workforce and is accountable for ensuring high professional and patient care standards throughout the Care Group, NUH and where appropriate the wider Nottinghamshire health and social care system.
