Summary


Under the direction of the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (Director of Patient Experience and Education) the post holder is responsible for developing and managing the education and training portfolio for Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH), to ensure that all staff and students receive the education and training required to enable them to perform their jobs effectively and are empowered to maximise their development potential.

The post holder will coordinate and lead the strategic objectives of the Academy and lead the operational requirements of the service. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Academy has robust structures, processes and systems in place to support a competent, skilled workforce that is fit for the future and able to deliver high quality services and excellent patient care.

The post holder will represent the Academy at a national and local level developing strong links internally and externally with strategic partners and other local and regional stakeholders inside and outside of the NHS in order to effectively implement and deliver an Academy fit for the needs of the communities within which we work.

The post holder will manage the Academy Team providing operational support to the divisions to deliver the Quality and Workforce agenda in relation to staff training, education and development and to the corporate departments for support with the learning, development and education indicators.

Responsible for developing and managing the education and training portfolio for Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH).

Coordinate and lead the strategic objectives of the Academy and lead the operational requirements of the service.

Responsible for ensuring that the Academy has robust structures, processes and systems in place to support a competent, skilled workforce that is fit for the future and able to deliver high quality services and excellent patient care.

Engage effectively at a strategic level with our external partners including ICS’s, Local Authorities, GP Federations, to help deliver high quality healthcare.

Act as a senior ambassador for the Academy and continually look to positively influence and build on the Trusts strong reputational position.

Manage the Academy Team providing operational support to the divisions to deliver the Quality and Workforce agenda in relation to staff training, education and development

Responsible for identifying, implementing and delivering programmes to external stakeholders supporting the workforce within the communities we operate in to meet national priorities e.g., NHS Workforce plan.

Responsible for ensuring compliance of professional and clinical education and training with legislative requirements, national and local policy
