Summary

Applications are encouraged from GPhC registered pharmacists working in any area in pharmacy, as there will be opportunities for the development of clinical skills as well as the opportunity to undertake further clinical training. We welcome applicants who are due to qualify summer 2025. This exciting opportunity will see you join the programme at the entry point of Band 6 and on successful completion, progress to the entry point of Band 7. The programme includes rotations through our inpatient sites and community teams, in addition to medicines information and participation in the on-call and weekend rota. Interviews for this post will be held on Friday 28th February. Candidates will be able to be interviewed either virtually via Microsoft Teams or in person depending on preference. Informal visits to the department to learn more about this opportunity can be arranged on request. Who are we?Leeds and York Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust provides inpatient, forensic and community psychiatric care to the population of Leeds, forensic and CYAMHS services to the population of York and tertiary specialist services such as Gender Identity and the National Inpatient Centre for Psychological Medicine. We provide a clinical pharmacy service from three main bases across the city with clinical input into a range of services from Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and dementia wards through to our Community Mental Health and Intensive Support Teams. Your post would be rotational, offering you the opportunity to develop your clinical skills across the full range of our inpatient services.You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to; Review medicines and provide medicines optimisation within multidisciplinary meetings Provide clinical advice and support to secondary and primary care regarding psychiatric medication Review complex cases and make treatment suggestions Provide training to nursing, medical and pharmacy colleagues These posts are full time and includes occasional on-call and weekend working; flexible working and job share requests will be considered. This position requires on-site working.
