Role/Activities:

As the Quality Assurance/Technical Manager at Uneek Clothing, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
· Quality Plan Development: Create, manage, implement, communicate, and maintain a comprehensive quality plan to align our Quality Assurance Systems and Policies with stringent quality requirements.
· Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, addressing concerns related to colour, sizing, and overall quality through efficient email and telephone communication. Collaborate with our factories to promptly resolve any issues.
· Product Development: Collaborate with product development teams, meticulously inspect lab dips, and scrutinize size charts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Master Swatch Review: Conduct annual reviews of Master Swatches from all factories to maintain consistency and excellence.
· Sealed Garment/Graded Size Set: Achieve sealed garment and graded size sets while preparing accurate graded size charts for new product lines.
· New Product Standards: Establish performance standards for new products, diligently review factory test reports for suitability, and ensure compatibility with UK Laboratory testing.
· Existing Range Maintenance: Develop a routine for monitoring factory test reports for existing product lines, proactively addressing any issues, and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
· Factory Audit Records: Maintain meticulous records of factory audit reports, including SEDEX, BSCI, and Organic/Sustainable Status.
On-Going Processes:
1. Factory Quality Performance Evaluation: Continuously review systems for evaluating factory quality performance to uphold our unwavering standards.
2. Test Standard Evaluation: Collaborate with UK Testing Companies to evaluate and enhance Uneek Test Standards.
3. Cross-Departmental Guidance: Provide guidance and training to other departments, including Warehouse QA/Returns, Customer Service, and Sales Teams, regarding new and existing products, emphasizing product performance, quality, and sizing.
Key Skills:
1. Problem Solving: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills to address quality-related challenges effectively.
2. Garments Knowledge: Possess comprehensive knowledge of garment measurement and sizing.
3. Quality Control: Demonstrate expertise in quality control methodologies and practices.
4. Strong Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership qualities to lead quality initiatives effectively.
5. Customer Feedback: Skilfully gather and utilize customer feedback to drive quality improvements.
6. Quality Assurance: Thoroughly understand and uphold quality assurance principles.
Qualifications/Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have:
1. A qualification in clothing, garment, or textiles.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of fabric types (knitted and woven), garment types, and decoration techniques (including embroidery and various print types) used by Uneek customers.
4. Flexibility to work both at Uneek Head Office and travel to the Cardiff Warehouse as needed.
5. Proficiency in communicating with overseas factories.
6. Exceptional organizational skills, including accurate record-keeping.
7. Experience in customer communication and conflict resolution.
8. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft programs and familiarity with a company CRM system.
