Summary
We are seeking a Telehandler/Fork Truck Driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience but a license is not required, as this can be obtained through the role.
You will be responsible for operating a JCB fork truck where you will move, lift, load and unload stone products in a busy Quarry environment.
This role requires an understanding of a production processes and how important your ability to work safely and efficiently is for the benefit of the whole team.
Duties
• Load and unload stone products from the stone saws
• Collect raw material from within the Quarry to add to stock pile
• Manage stock levels of raw materials
• Monitor all saws to ensure consistent production speed
• Load and unload conveyor belts of sawn stone
• Monitor the number of finished pallets in the pack shed and move to completed area to ensure packers can continue to work efficiently with as much space as possible
• Adhere to safety protocols
• Monitor and inspect the machine
• Daily monitoring of fuel levels
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members throughout the day on production speeds
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience
• Previous experience operating telehandlers or similar machinery is preferred but a license can be obtained through the role
• Experience of a quarry environment preferable but not compulsory
Pay based on experience, however we do pay above national living wage to all staff.
