Barton Out of School Club in Barton upon Humber has the following vacancies for enthusiastic and experienced play workers:
Deputy Manager /Supervisor
Hours: Monday to Friday,25 hours per week during term time (7am till 9am then 3pm till 6pm) and 37.5 hours per week in the school holidays.
Salary:
Dependent on qualifications and experience
Applicants should have a full and relevant Level 3 NVQ or diploma, preferably in Playwork. Applicants must have experience of working with 4 – 16 year olds in a play environment.
Experience of working in a supervisory capacity is essential.
Successful applicants will join us in providing high-quality, safe and stimulating after school care for the children attending Barton Out of School Club.
Job Description:
- Deputise for the manager in their absence
- Help with day to day management of the out of school club
- Provide play care within the framework for the club’s policies and procedures
- Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and can respond to any concerns in an appropriate and timely manor
- Plan, prepare and deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and clean environment
- Provide comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers
- Provide support and supervision to other staff and volunteers
- Set up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment
- Adhere to and ensure health and safety standards are met
- Administer first aid when necessary
- Consult with children and involve them in planning activities
- Facilitate excellent communication with all members of the club, parents schools, children and third party related agencies
- Work within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures and the Early Years Foundation stage
All posts are covered by the Childcare Act 2006 and are subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure for a regulated activity and reference checks.
