Hybrid working – whilst training, mostly office based eventually moving to one day a week in the office and the rest remote.

Skills & Experience:
Qualifications at National Qualifications Framework / Qualifications and Credit Framework / Framework for Higher Education Qualifications / Level 4, or NQF/QFC/FHEQ level 3 plus relevant experience or equivalent.
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent including the following: Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and have a willingness to learn new applications and technology as appropriate.
An understanding of the services delivered by the Traffic & Highway Maintenance team and the wider transport responsibilities
Evidence of assisting with the management and monitoring of team initiatives.
Evidence of providing guidance, advice, support and motivation of team members.
Ability to communicate appropriately with clients, the general public and corporately either verbally or in writing to answer questions, write letters and reports to resolve often complex and contentious issues.
Proactive, up to date technical knowledge and interpretation of issues of work covered by the team and awareness of current and emerging best practice, policies and legislation.
What's involved with this role: Your role is to work at a technical/professional level in the allocated Transport Team. Coordinate tasks and/or small complex team initiatives using appropriate techniques to ensure that agreed actions and service delivery targets are met.
Assist with the delivery of Bristol’s Street Works Permit Scheme as required by the team manager. The post-holder will occasionally be required to work outside standard working hours.
Key responsibilities:
Review and assess street works permits
Carry out technical administration duties
Some onsite inspections
Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders
