Summary
Job Objective
To provide an efficient front of house service to all guests
Hours of work
20 hours per week
3 days per week and includes working a Saturday & Sunday day shift once every three weeks
Shifts and hours may change when the need to cover holidays or sickness arises
Main Duties (not in priority order)
1. Greet all guests, students and visitors, dealing with their requirements as appropriate
2. Input, amend & cancel reservations using the Hotel Reservation System.
3. Maintaining accurate records and taking payments
4. Checking guests into and out of Hotel accommodation
5. Operate the switchboard, answering all calls in a standard and timely manner
6. Serving drinks from our small resident’s bar
7. Any other duties that might reasonably be assigned by your manager
Personal Requirements
1. Excellent customer service skills
2. Well organised and methodical in approach to work
3. Experience of dealing with customers in the same or similar role
4. Good telephone manner and other communication skills
5. Used to working alone with responsibility and minimum supervision
6. Common sense approach to work, being adaptable to work loads and flexible to demands
7. Able to work under pressure in a calm and courteous manner
Previous experience is an advantage but full training will be given to applicants with good customer skills
