Summary
Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team in Oxfordshire, helping young people and adults in independent living environments.
In this role, you'll provide vital support to a caseload of clients, guiding them in developing essential life skills. Your responsibilities will include helping clients manage rent arrears, address debts, budget effectively, tackle social isolation, and access basic needs like food and utilities. Your goal is to empower clients to build their independence, ultimately reducing the risk of homelessness.
To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Many clients may have experienced homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse, or involvement with the justice system.
Experience or understanding of the housing and welfare benefits system, mental health, and homelessness services would be highly beneficial.
