What could you be doing?
You will carry out a range of activities to ensure our properties and the surrounding areas remain clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition. You will be helping to make our communal properties great places to live.
Day to day tasks will include keeping communal areas clean and hazard free, leaf clearance, litter picking, removing graffiti to maintenance and minor repairs and dealing with fly tipping.
This is a mobile role, mainly based covering our sites in Burton-on-Trent and surrounding areas so you would need to be based locally, and a driving licence is therefore essential. Access to a company van is provided so there is no need to use your own vehicle during the working day.
This is a full-time role working 35 hours a week Monday – Friday with core hours of 8- 15:30 with no weekend working.
We want somebody who has:
• A positive outlook with a flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a team
• You will need a keen eye for detail and be committed to achieving high standards
• Ideally you will have experience of working in a customer-focused environment undertaking cleaning and caretaking duties
• Good IT skills as you will be using an iPad to access a portal to log all required repairs and completion of health and safety checks
• A full driving licence is essential.
• This role also requires a Basic DBS check.

The base depot for this role is Birmingham Business Park so you would need to be able to start your day at this point.
Part of Platform Housing Group, Platform Property Care is a well-established property maintenance business. Working with us is more than just a job. We value the contribution that our colleagues make to our business; our vision is clear – we are growing fast, and we aim to achieve our plan through an engaged and highly skilled team.
If this sounds like the place for you then we’d love to hear from you! Interested? To find out more about this role, please contact Adam Eccleston, Caretaking & Cleaning Manager, at adam.eccleston@platformhg.com for a chat.
We do not require recruitment agency support at this time - all speculative CV’s will be treated as a direct application.
