CNC Turner
Job Purpose
To manufacture parts using CNC Turning machines (lathes and live tooling) according to our drawings and specifications, supplying components to our Assembly Shop or directly to customers.
Main Duties
You will operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality components with precision and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
Machinery Operation: Expertly operating CNC lathes using Fanuc and Mazatrol operating systems to manufacture precision components.
Interpretation of Drawings: Understanding of the Machine Shop processes, from interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to guide manufacturing processes.
Self-Inspection of Parts: Ensuring our produced parts meet stringent quality standards.
Efficient Workflow Management: Following a structured schedule to ensure timely delivery of components while maintaining high-quality standards.
Problem Solving: Identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise during machining processes, ensuring minimal downtime and proactively addressing safety concerns where appropriate.
Continuous Learning: Working closely with the wider team to share knowledge and support training in other areas of the machine shop where relevant, to enhance versatility and skill development.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience with CNC turning or similar machining processes, with a strong focus on precision engineering.
Demonstrated competency with lathes using Fanuc/Mazatrol operating systems would be highly desirable or familiarity with other relevant systems.
Competent in interpreting complex technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to quality with a methodical approach to tasks.
High degree of self-motivation and flexibility in undertaking various tasks.
Lean manufacturing and 5S experience is desirable, but not essential criteria.
