Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Vehicle Stripper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the disassembly of vehicles, ensuring that parts are removed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Vehicle Stripper will play a crucial role in our operations, contributing to the recycling and refurbishment of vehicle components.
Duties
Disassemble vehicles systematically to salvage usable parts while adhering to safety protocols.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for the removal of components such as engines, transmissions, and body panels.
Conduct thorough inspections of parts to determine their condition and potential for reuse.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during the stripping process.
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and achieve production targets.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
Proven experience using hand tools and power tools is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle components is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks, as the role involves handling substantial parts regularly.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork is necessary for success in this role.
