Summary

About The Role
We are looking for a proactive individual to join our living collections team at WWT’s Martin Mere Centre. Duties will include the daily feeding, husbandry and welfare of the living collection, including enclosure maintenance. You will also play a key part in engaging visitors with our collection species, and WWT’s wider conservation work, through the delivery of public talks.

This position is varied, interesting and calls for a practical approach grounded in experience and competence.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days from 7 including some weekends and bank holidays. The role is a fixed term position for 6 months.

About You
To join as our Seasonal Living Collections Assistant you’ll bring:

Previous animal husbandry experience
Attention to detail and excellent record keeping
Experience of horticultural work and enclosure maintenance
Great communication skills and the drive to achieve inspiring and engaging visitor experiences within our collection
