Package: £20.00 per hour + Overtime £30.00 - £40.00
Hours: 38 hours per week (7.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday / 7.30am - 12.30pm Friday)
Contract: Long Term Contracting - PAYE

4Sure Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a heavy engineering client based in Birkenhead. We are currently looking to expand the engineering division with additional Pipefitters to work across various Marine & Defence contracts in and out of docks.
Role & Responsibilities –: Pipefitters:
• You will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems on marine vessels and shipyard facilities.
• This role requires the ability to interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specifications to ensure high-quality, precise installations in line with shipbuilding and maritime standards.
• Cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes made of materials such as steel, copper, and plastic.
• Fabricate and install pipe systems onboard vessels or shipyard projects following provided designs (Isometric).
• Perform tack welding or assist welders in aligning pipes for joining (TIG).
• Inspect installed piping systems for leaks and functionality.
• Follow maritime codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic tests as required.
Candidates Attributes / Qualifications -: Pipefitters:
• Proven track record in the Marine / Steel fabrication / Off-shore / Petro-chemical or Construction industries – Essential
• Proven experience as a pipefitter, ideally in a shipyard or marine environment.
• Skilled in working with piping materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper-nickel.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting isometric and technical drawings.
• Experience in tack welding, pipe alignment, and flange fitting.
• NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting, Plumbing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Welding certifications (TIG preferred) are advantageous.
• Experience with marine systems such as fuel, hydraulics, and cooling systems is a plus.
