Career Research Centre Ltd is seeking an ESOL Teacher responsible for delivering ESOL courses awarded by City & Guilds and Pearson. The ideal candidate will have the following job responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development:
Design and develop lesson plans and curriculum tailored to City & Guilds and Pearson ESOL standards.
Integrate City & Guilds and Pearson learning resources and digital tools into the teaching process.
2. Instruction:
Deliver engaging and effective ESOL lessons that cater to different learning styles.
Facilitate a learner-centered classroom environment that encourages active participation and practical language use.
3. Assessment:
Prepare students for City & Guilds and Pearson ESOL exams.
Conduct formative and summative assessments in line with both awarding bodies' guidelines.
Evaluate student performance, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
4. Student Support:
Provide academic support and guidance to ESOL students.
Assist students in developing language skills necessary for academic and everyday communication.
5. Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
Prepare reports and documentation required by City & Guilds and Pearson, ensuring compliance with their standards.
6. Professional Development:
Participate in training and professional development activities related to City & Guilds and Pearson ESOL qualifications.
Stay updated with changes and updates to the ESOL standards and requirements of both awarding bodies.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Implement improvements to the ESOL program based on feedback and new developments in the field.
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay current with best practices.
Requirements:
Experience in teaching ESOL courses, preferably with familiarity in City & Guilds and Pearson standards.
Strong instructional skills with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for ESOL instruction.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills to maintain accurate records and reports.
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
