Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to heavily influence decisions made by Defence in the management of the estate, by delivering business intelligence through the application of sophisticated geo-analytical techniques.

The postholder will have opportunities to work on a broad range of projects, from sustainability and asset management to aerodrome safeguarding. This work will provide the foundation for evidence-based decisions through use of fundamental and innovative geospatial analysis.

As a member of Data Exploitation's (DEx) Geospatial Analytics Team there are opportunities to be involved in a wide spectrum of analytical projects. The post requires an individual who is able to engage with customers, applying geospatial and analytical skills, tools and knowledge to support the business.

The post holder should have credible experience of delivering geospatial outputs in the following areas:

Understanding and delivering against customer requirements to support locational analysis to better evidence decisions.
Exploitation of spatial and non-spatial data and delivery of analytical outputs such as Maps, Visualisations, Dashboards and Reports.
The job requires the creative use of the tools available to deliver innovative solutions.
