Summary
Are you a calm, kind and friendly nanny? SEN experience would be advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be given.
A fabulous fixed term, live out nanny role has become available working with a friendly family who live in a beautiful farmhouse, set in the countryside in Tea Green, Hertfordshire. The role is to start as soon as possible until May 2025. You will be supporting Mum to help keep this busy home running like clockwork.
The role could also work as a live in position (with private bedroom, bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, etc). The salary would be adjusted for this option.
You will work five days out of seven, with two consecutive days of each week (to be mutually agreed). The hours will be 07.30-09.30 with a break in the day, returning at 14.30-20.30 (40 hours/week). Any additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
You will be caring for three boys aged 7 years, 12 years and 15 years. The youngest has been diagnosed with autism and is non-verbal. He is a happy boy who attends school each day, but someone who has SEN experience in this area would be advantageous.
The older boys are quite self-sufficient but will need a little encouragement to complete homework. You will oversee that the children have everything they need for school the following day.
In the school holidays, the timing of the nine hours each day could be a little more flexible. You will have the opportunity to take the boys out for day trips and activities if they would like to.
To carry out school runs and attend activities, you will need to be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence. There will be a fully insured car to use while on duty.
As well as general care of the children, while they are at school, there will be time to help keep them organised – children’s laundry, keeping the children’s areas (bedrooms, kitchen, etc) tidy and organised and making sure all rooms used are tidy at the end of the day. Any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated – emptying the dishwasher, running the vacuum round, running the occasional errand, grocery shopping, school admin, etc. The family has a cleaner each week.
You will prepare and cook healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day, asking them to help plan the menu, so that you know what food to buy each week.
