Bakery Production Worker Duties and Responsibilities
Bakery Production Workers are responsible for several bakery-specific tasks, including the preparation, baking, and packaging of goods.
Candidates should have a basic knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and safety in the bakery. Training will be given if candidates don’t know food and safety regulations.
Candidates must maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards while performing daily tasks.
Roles and responsibilities
• Prepare and bake different types of pastries, bread, and other bakery products.
• Measure and mix raw ingredients, following strict recipes and/or product directions
• Monitor baking procedures and time, applying glazes, icings, or other toppings using spatulas or brushes.
• Operate large-volume baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, or proof racks.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all bakery equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Inspect the quality of products to ensure that they meet the company’s high standards.
• Pack and label final products for sale or distribution.
• Decorating baked goods using different types of icings, toppings, etc. To ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
• Ensure all products meet high-quality standards to perform tasks.
• Candidates will need to have physical stamina. For example, standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Candidates will need to have interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work in a team environment.
