Summary
Job Purpose - 37.5 hours a week
You will be responsible in supporting the Community Clinical Nurse Specialist Team leader and the Day Care Manager and Social work team.
You will be responsible for all education programs , advertising events , programmes ,setting up room and equipment and power points requested by the team leader.
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all clinics and current booking systems and their protocols/templates and propose changes.
• To accurately record the outcomes of patient appointments, allocating further appointments in accordance with booking targets/guidelines and applying correct protocols for these
• Confirm patient appointments, in advance, by use of text messaging service, telephone and/or letter as appropriate and directed
• To ensure all standards in relation to handling referrals are met for all specialities.
• To ensure that patients who are referred with urgent / emergency care are seen in line with the Trust booking process for this group of patients.
• To ensure that all letters inviting patients to call in are generated and dispatched to agreed deadlines.

• Provide patients with letters/appointments cards as appropriate for their needs.
• To cover and arrange cover for the telephone switchboard as required.
• To supervise the opening and distribution of incoming post
• To supervise in the franking/purchasing of postage stamps for outgoing mail
• To deal with deliveries of supplies.
