Summary
Would you like to work in an outstanding setting with dedicated professionals, who will value your experience and contributions? Beechwood Childcare are looking to recruit at our Outstanding Leamington Spa setting.
*Duties*
- Serve lunches to children in the setting
- Supervise children throughout their lunch
- Be vigilant of any allergies and dietary requirements, ensuring children only given what they are allowed and no cross contamination happens
- Help clean and tidy away after lunch
- Following completion of lunch, act as nursery practitioner for the the remainder of shift whilst full time staff have their lunch breaks by:
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Supervising and engaging with children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
- Carrying out activities with children to engage and further their development
- Ensuring the health and safety of all children in the nursery
- Collaborating with other nursery practitioners and staff members
- Helping with personal care of children when needed
*Skills*
- Understanding of Food Hygiene and Allergy Awareness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for children
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with care
- Organizational skills to plan activities, keep records, and maintain a clean nursery environment
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues
