About the Role
North West Leicestershire District Council is seeking an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join the Community Safety Team. This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and contributing to a safer community.
As an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, you will investigate cases, manage referrals, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to resolve issues. You will also support the development of procedures and processes to improve the response to ASB across the district.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management:
Proactively investigate cases of anti-social behaviour, nuisance, and harassment.
Manage casework effectively, including maintaining files, documents, and reports.
Use the shared case management tool to ensure a coordinated approach (training provided).
Multi-Agency Collaboration:
Liaise with agencies such as the Police, Solicitors, Social Services, Probation Services, Youth Offending Team, Housing Management, and others.
Attend and organise case conferences when required.
Support the Joint Action Group (JAG) and other relevant community safety sub-groups.
Public Engagement:
Receive referrals from the public and referral agencies.
Work with resident groups, Neighbourhood Action Teams, and other community stakeholders.
Procedure Development:
Recommend improvements and contribute to developing procedures for addressing ASB and harassment.
Essential Requirements
Ability to commute to North West Leicestershire District Council.
Experience in local government anti-social behaviour case management.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes, with the ability to undertake visits across the district.
Strong ability to manage own caseload and maintain accurate records.
