Summary
Technical Process Operator required for varied role at manufacturing company based near Ipswich
Full training will be given for this interesting and varied role which will be temporary initially but will lead to permanent employment.
Duties will include:
• Operating and monitoring computer- controlled plant and equipment to ensure proper operation and product yield
• Preparing, sterilising, and maintaining vessels, media, and culture conditions
• Monitoring and adjusting parameters, troubleshooting and resolving any issues relating to the process
• Recording and maintaining detailed process logs and data.
• Checking product is within spec and carrying out sampling
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve techniques and product outcomes.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Undertaking additional and supporting tasks in other areas of process
Applicants will ideally be educated/qualified at a higher education level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a Scientific field. Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment is preferred and experience of performing root cause analysis and diagnostics is essential as is the ability to problem solve and multi task. Good IT skills and numeracy also required.
Initially the hours will be approx. 6am-2pm, Monday to Friday and salary c£35K p/a
Once permanent the hours will change to a 12 hours shift pattern with regular 6 day breaks for c£43K p/a
