Job Overview
Integra Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our clients school in the L26 area as of January to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for the English language while fostering critical thinking and effective communication skills. This role requires a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Incorporate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of English language literature, grammar, and composition (KS3 and KS4)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to engage students with diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources for teaching purposes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching.
  • Experience in classroom management techniques.
