Summary
The UK’s most sensitive information, operations and capabilities are enabled and protected using high grade government encryption, known as Crypt-Key.
This unique technology enables MODs systems to be robustly secure, despite working over untrusted networks, in the face of the most technically advanced, hostile and persistent global threats.
The Crypt Requirements Manager will be responsible for ensuring that military deployments and capability investments are supported with the appropriate robust and resilient cryptography. You will provide subject matter expertise and make tactical decisions to ensure that MOD interests are protected.
Responsibilities
Support Military Operations - lead and empower the Crypt Key Demand team to ensure front line commands operations are protected by robust and resilient solutions.
Support future capability investments - combine technical expertise with operational understanding to help guide future defence investments towards appropriate solutions.
Stakeholders beyond defence – you will work closely with stakeholders, notably NCSC, to defend MOD interests and ensure defence requirements are understood and supported.
Education - You will support the 10-year pipeline by increasing understanding across military communities of the importance of crypt and the need to consider their requirements as early as possible.
National Strategy Implementation – you will support the National Strategy Lead by driving MOD project teams to consider crypt at the earliest opportunity.
Policy Implementation – You will work across defence to support the effective and timely implementation of crypt policies, enabling resilient and robust military operations in the process.
Manage and lead a highly motivated, specialist team across multiple locations, spanning military and civilian personnel.
Build and maintain connections across Government, military communities, and industry, representing and advancing UK MOD interests.
