Summary
PPM Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Commercial Manager/senior Quantity Surveyor for one of our clients in Barrow in Furness
Responsible for commercially managing various projects from the tender stage through to final account, ensuring the smooth financial management of projects under your control.
- Ability to price and prepare tender estimates for both large and small projects.
- Update and manage costing system for presentation
- Liaise and negotiate with the client to agree any variations
- Visits construction sites to measure new tenders and quantities for existing work
- Assess project and tender documentation, requirements and report findings, omissions, requirements for information to team
- Monthly payment applications and settling differences
- Liaising with project teams on a regular basis
- Liaise with client Quantity Surveyor's and construction personnel on a regular basis regarding financial and contractual matters
Candidates must have strong knowledge of NEC and JCT Contracts
Salary up to £70K
