This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Transaction Processing team in a Retail Bank on a maternity cover basis for 9-12 months. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing within service levels, delivering excellent customer outcomes while adhering to the Bank's policies, procedures, and guidelines. This role offers a dynamic and supportive environment where you can make a significant impact.
Your new role

  • Payment Systems Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CHAPS, Faster Payments, Bacs, and SWIFT systems.
  • Account Maintenance: Experience in maintaining accounts, handling direct debits, cheque clearing, card administration, and processing commercial property finance and treasury deals.
  • Complex Case Handling: Ability to manage complex cases and queries with minimal support.
  • Customer Service: Strong skills in resolving complex customer queries and complaints.
  • Internal Controls: Adherence to internal controls, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Regulated Banking Experience in a Payments role: Previous experience in a regulated banking financial service environment.
  • UK Retail Banking Systems: Experience working with UK retail banking clearing systems.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in systems like Salesforce, EBS, Engage, ICS, and DSX.
  • Clearing Cycle Understanding: Good understanding of the clearing cycle, including cheque clearing and returns.
  • Risk Awareness: Awareness of risks such as AML, CTF, and tax evasion.
