Pinnacle Group are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to perform a central coordinating role supporting the Divisional Director and the senior leadership team in our Pinnacle Service Families (PSF) division. Maintaining an overview of key priorities and deliverables across the team, you will ensure that we consistently deliver intelligent solutions on time and to a high standard. You will be a strong and effective communicator with a point of view you’re prepared to share, a natural problem solver and comfortable working at pace. You will have strong resonance with our vision, mission and values, and a high degree of empathy with military families. Pinnacle Service Families, part of Pinnacle Group, is one of three contractors appointed by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation to run the prestigious Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) contract. PSF are the National Accommodation Management Services contractor and as such we oversee all aspects of property allocation, move in, and move out and manage all in-residence maintenance enquiries. Our field force of over 120 housing officers manages the on-site customer interaction and the Home Services and Customer Services Teams at the National Service Centre manage all remote customer interaction. The FDIS contract is the flagship contract within Pinnacle Group.

This is a remote role that can be based anywhere within the UK however travel will be required to Liverpool and London.

Key responsibilities:
• Work alongside the Divisional Director ensuring their strategic intent is sound and support its integration into the business, managing change in a way to support the success of implementation of new directives as we strive for continuous improvement and enhanced service delivery.
• Engage with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) overseeing priorities, actions and deliverables arising from client meetings as well as managing the team’s collective priorities.
• Function as the SLT’s conscience and organiser – ensuring that actions are captured and followed through, that thoughts are prepared ahead of meetings, briefing notes provided, and data requested and collated such that we put our best foot forward in external meetings.
• Work with the SLT to clarify and communicate our point of view on any given issue.
• Work closely with the performance team to ensure that the team is producing data and insights that contribute to the SLT’s priorities and client enquiries. Ensure appropriate MI is available and presented to the client as required.
• Support delivery of the operational improvement plan, including impact assessments, training, communications and engagement.
• Retain a strong conceptual overview of the FDIS vision and Pinnacle’s role in the contract structure, ensuring clarity on our responsibilities, as well as our families first commitment.
• Bring a new perspective to initiatives, challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to do things better / faster, always conscious of the need to deliver both excellence and VFM.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies to swift resolution.
• Facilitate workshops with impacted stakeholders at all levels at pinnacle and our industry partners.
• Work with SLT colleagues to innovate and implement change, combining strategic and analytical perspectives with a pragmatic approach.
Person Specification:
• Highly effective communication skills, conveying key messages in a clear, precise and structured way with gravitas at a level appropriate to your audience.
• Excellent analytical skills and good judgement, quickly understanding and interpreting complex issues and problems, producing sound and rational responses.
• Highly skilled in working at both detail and bigger picture levels.
• Values-led alongside a high degree of empathy with military families.
• A self-starter, with the ability to engage and motivate both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in delivering end to end change from inception through to adoption.
• Experience of identifying opportunities, developing solutions and prioritising delivery to maximise business benefit.
• High EQ and self-awareness that allows you to understand your impact, so that all stakeholders know what they need to do and why it needs to be done.
• Resilient and positive in a demanding and changing environment, with the capacity to deliver results to tight deadlines and under pressure.
