The Grange & Elm Court is situated in the rolling countryside of South Yorkshire about a 30-minute drive to the main towns and cities and offers a range of facilities for enabling people with mental health and addiction issues to work towards recovery, in a structured, safe and supportive environment.
Part of our service is to offer short stay rehabilitation for a period of 6-24 months, allowing individuals to re-build skills and confidence before returning to the community. The service also offers short stay respite care for people who would benefit from the stability of a supportive residential setting.
We are currently looking for a Cook - to join our dedicated team.
The main purpose of the Cooks role is to organise and control the efficient production of quality food, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with regulations. Food preparation will be expected to be of a very high standard and will include preparing, cooking, and serving hot and cold meals, as and when required.
Duties:
• ensure the care home residents receive a varied, appealing, wholesome, and nutritious diet, which is suited to individually assessed needs.
• manage the home’s food ordering, storage, cooking, service, and disposal process in accordance with the Food Safety Act 1990 and amendments.
• carry out regular hazard analysis of food production areas and the food production chain.
• keep all records required by the Food Safety Act 1990 and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety 2008.

Skills & Qualifications: -
City & Guilds Level 1 & 2, or equivalent (achieved or working towards)
Basic Food / Hygiene Certificate
