Summary
A Vacancy at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
We are looking to recruit an inspiring and experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our specialist medicine and renal therapy team at Hammersmith Hospital for a one year maternity leave cover.
You will have the opportunity to lead an integrated therapy team whilst also delivering specialist patient care. Within this role you will also support the student education lead and be the equipment lead across the three main Imperial hospital sites. In collaboration with the clinical service lead, you will support the delivery of a high quality and responsive service. As a skilled clinician, you will develop patient pathways and work practices, motivate and develop people and forge close partnerships with colleagues and services within and external to the Trust. You must be committed to interdisciplinary learning, audit and research and to developing your own clinical expertise in the management of a complex caseload of patients.
This is a split clinical and leadership post mainly based at the Hammersmith hospital site and will provide:
• Site Occupational Therapy leadership for inpatient therapies including support for patient flow initiatives
• Day to day clinical leadership to renal, gastro, cardiology and specialist medicine wards
• Professional support to occupational therapists in other specialties
• Support the Therapies student education role across the three main Imperial hospital sites
• Working as the Equipment Lead

• The post holder will be an advanced specialist in their field fulfilling a specialist clinical role within their area of expertise. This role will focus on innovative clinical leadership and delivering a high quality, robust and responsive service.
• The post holder will provide aspirational clinical support to other therapists within the team and will ensure delivery of a service that is informed by best evidence and expert knowledge.
• The post holder will lead on both discipline specific, inter-professional and cross boundary service development projects that are of a standard that can be presented at peer reviewed conferences.
• The post holder will encourage involvement in shaping research ideas and involvement in therapy research projects relevant to their area of expertise. Education and training will be a key deliverable with the expectation that this is provided both locally and at a regional level.
