Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a level 3 qualification in early years, have experience working with children and a strong understanding of the EYFS. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our nursery. The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for fostering children's development through play-based learning and effective communication with both children and parents.
Responsibilities
Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and expression.
Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment that is conducive to learning.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, sleep times, and transitions between activities.
Build strong relationships with children and their families, providing support and guidance as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided in the nursery.
Skills
Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS.
Level 3 qualification in Early years.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Leadership qualities to guide and inspire both children and fellow staff members.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
A valid driving licence is advantageous as we are a village based setting.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning experiences.
