Summary
Wehavea new and exciting opportunity foraqualified, band 5Speech and Language Therapists to joinourschooland early yearsteamson a rotational contractbasedout ofSt MarksHospital,Maidenhead.Within thesepostsyouwillhave the opportunity to work alongside experienced therapistsand assistantsinarange ofsettings. The aim of these posts is to give you this experience within your first18 monthsof working with us.
The rotation would be between the following areas:
Early Years–Working with children under 5 inearly years settings,clinicsand homes, assessing,diagnosing,andproviding intervention asappropriate foryoung children.
Early Years Complex Needs–As above withadditionalopportunitiesto shadow eating and drinking assessments,autism assessmentsand working aspart of amulti-disciplinaryteam.
Mainstream Schools Team– Working with childrenand young people of school age,assessing,diagnosing, andproviding intervention asappropriate inmainstream school settings.
Special Schools– Working with amulti-disciplinaryteam of professionalsproviding intervention and support to specialschoolscaseloads.
For these positionswe are looking for applicants with a real interest in working with childrenand young people. We are open to thosewho areeither already workingat a band5level,someone who isnewly qualifiedordueto qualifysoon.
• Provide high quality assessment, diagnosisand intervention for children and young people.
• Maintainaccurateand contemporaneous clinical records and provide written therapy plans and reports including contribution to theEducation and Health Care Plan (EHCP)process and asrequired.
• Use impact-based clinical decision makingto direct therapeutic interventions.
• Work within an integrated therapies team, alongside Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy colleagues.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, registered with HCPC(or due to gain qualification and professional registration).
• Passion for working with children and young people.
• Full UK driving license with access to vehicleand ability to travel across various sites.
