About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to oversee a brand-new 2-bed children's home, Solo, in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing a high-quality residential service, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people in care. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role in a newly established home, where you will have a direct impact on the service’s development and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the management and day-to-day operations of the 2-bed children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement tailored care plans for each child, ensuring their individual needs and best interests are met.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of care staff, providing regular training, support, and guidance.
• Maintain high standards of care and support to ensure positive outcomes for the children in the home.
• Ensure the home operates within budget and resources are efficiently managed.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, seeking feedback from staff and children to enhance the service provided.
• Foster strong working relationships with external agencies, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children in care.
• Ensure a strong focus on safeguarding and child protection, promoting the emotional and physical well-being of all residents.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within an Ofsted-regulated Children’s Home.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Ofsted regulations, child protection procedures, and safeguarding best practices.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and external professionals.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in managing or establishing a new residential service.
• A full, valid UK driving licence (strongly favourable).
