Summary


An exciting opportunity is available to join the dynamic and responsive quality team in Planned Care division to assist the provision of the highest quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical support to the quality co-ordinator supporting continuous quality improvement.

Based in a Quality Team for Planned Care Division, the post holder will support all administrative and clerical requirements relating to the development and implementation of governance processes (including clinical, non-clinical and corporate) within the directorate to ensure that the Trust has a comprehensive framework to continuously monitor and improve the quality of care provided.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

· To work as part of a directorate management team assisting the quality co-ordinator and directorate clinical quality lead with clerical and administrative duties to support the development and implementation of governance processes (including clinical, non-clinical and corporate) within the directorate

· To co-ordinate and minute Directorate governance meetings ensuring the timely circulation of agendas, minutes of meetings and action notes

· To enter risk management assessments as agreed on the Trust risk management database and maintain a comprehensive file of risk management assessments

· To ensure that, at all times, the directorate risk register is in date advising the quality co-ordinator of due dates for assessment and review



St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).

After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.

· To ensure accurate and timely recording of information on the Trust wide risk management system as required

· To generate risk management reports as required from the Trust risk management database

· To oversee the tracking of incident investigations to ensure they are completed and submitted in a timely manner escalating delays to the quality co-ordinator

· To maintain a comprehensive filing system

· To co-ordinate the processing of directorate incident forms liaising as necessary with the Directorate management team to ensure these are fully completed before submission to the risk management office

· To develop systems to support the tracking and timely completion and submission of complaint correspondence

· To work as required with the Trust Datix manager to support the full implementation of Datix web across the Directorate

· To work with the Quality Co-ordinator and Trust Compliance Manger to ensure the Directorate holds a library of evidence to support compliance with NHS LA risk management standards

· Under the direction of the Head of Nursing to file evidence on Trust compliance with CQC essential standards of healthcare

· To support clinical audit work as requested by the Quality coordinator

· To draft reports under the supervision of the Quality coordinator

· To incorporate simple raw data/information into appropriate spread-sheets, reports, pro-forma’s and other modes of presentation (e.g. PowerPoint).

· To prepare power point presentations
