We are recruiting seasonal Rangers at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term until 31-10-2025
Location: Cwmcarn Forest Drive

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Regeneration Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £24,790 - £25,183 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Experienced seasonal Rangers required to support the staff in the day to day management of the Forest Drive. The primary responsibility of the post is to ensure that the land managed by the council is safe, well maintained and accessible. Working within the Ranger Team to maintain the destination to ensure that visitors have an excellent experience.




An exciting role at the front line of the Team as the destination aims to grow to become one of the most outstanding tourist attractions in Wales.




The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, ideally in a comparable working environment.



For the role, we ask that you have:

A Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ Level 2 or GCSEs.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations.
A Full UK (Category B) driving licence to drive Council vehicles. For example buggy, 4x4.
