The posts are fixed term until 31/03/2025,

Post 1 - 37 hours per week - 52 weeks (Peripatetic).

Post 1 - 14.25 hours per week - Term-Time (Lennox Primary School). The salary will be pro-rata'd to the part=time, term-time hours worked.

Vacancies have arisen for Facilities Assistants within the authority’s Alexandria & Dumbarton. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operation of Facilities Management Services within the premise. There will be a requirement to undertake a combination of duties with a flexible day to day variable need, this will include staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties, food handling and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.

The post holder will require to adhere to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislations and previous experience in this line of work would be an advantage.

The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Applicants will be asked to select their preference according to their availability. Please note that whilst some degree of flexibility in working maybe considered the core cleaning times are as stated.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.

Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Education body and removal from the Register of the General Teaching Council.
