Summary
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for Visitor Services Assistants to work at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Shakespeare’s New Place on a casual arrangement, to support us over the 2025 season. The casual arrangement will run from Monday 10 March 2025 to Sunday 2 November 2025.
As Visitor Services Assistant you will provide consistently high standards of visitor care at all times, from the moment of arrival through the entrance, exhibition, garden and house, to the final point of departure, ensuring every visitor has a safe and enjoyable experience.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in a public or visitor facing role, agile and flexible to what is required, committed to providing excellent customer service, IT literate and able to confidently operate till and ticketing systems, and used to working as part of a team.
Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Shakespeare’s New Place will be open seven days a week 10.00am to 5.00pm, and you will be required to work weekdays, weekends and a fair share of Bank Holidays so you should be flexible and available. There will also be a requirement to work out of hours events.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 12 February 2025 with the assessment centre taking place on Wednesday 19 February 2025.
