General Business Manager | Banbury | Office-based – 40 hours per week| Competitive Salary

Established in 1973, our client's company manufactures high-quality, well-engineered flexible braided wire products for use throughout the electrical industry.

They are now the largest UK Company whose activities and skills are focused solely on the manufacture of flexible wire braid, strand and related value-added products and services. The turnover is approx. £7-8 million per annum.

They are looking to recruit an experienced General Business Manager to join their team of 65 employees – with a view to progressing to a Director role.

This is a key role managing the overall operations of the company. This role reports directly into the owner of the business (Chief Executive Officer).

Are you the right person for the job?

• Minimum 5 years of senior leadership and management experience in similar industry
• Outstanding communication, leadership, and organisation skills
• Proven track record of executing strategic business initiatives
• Flexibility within your role
• Full understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality

What will your role look like?

• Contribute to business strategy and assist in its overall development and execution
• Manage operations to achieve profit targets and align with business objectives
• Oversee all departments, including sales, purchasing, HR, IT, quality, health and safety, and production, ensuring smooth operations and effective risk management
• Deploy resources efficiently, identifying and seizing key business opportunities
• Analyse market trends and adapt strategies to meet changing market demands
• Foster a positive company culture to enhance team collaboration and productivity
• Ensure clear communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external
• Take responsibility for daily operational decisions and provide leadership across functions
• Lead daily team meetings to plan, address issues, and set direction for the day
• Drive the sales strategy, working to meet targets and expand market share
