Summary

Youth Justice Drug and Alcohol Worker

Working hours: 33 hours per week however hours can be negotiated if needed. The days in which you work those hours will be between Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
Location: Your base location will be the nearest North Yorkshire Horizons hub to your home address.

About the role...
We have an exciting opportunity to join our North Yorkshire service North Yorkshire RISE as a Youth Justice Drug and Alcohol worker.

North Yorkshire RISE work with young people, aged 10 to 19 years old or up to 24 years old with SEND, who need specialist support with drugs and/or alcohol use.

As a Youth Justice Drug and Alcohol Worker, you will sit within the North Yorkshire RISE team and jointly within North Yorkshire Council's Youth Justice Team. Your key duties will include:
You will provide structured support to reduce drug or alcohol use.
Provide case management for children and young people which includes referral and assessment, risk management and care planning, discharge and aftercare planning
Improve outcomes for children, parents, carers and families of services users by reducing the impact of drug and alcohol related harm on family life
Work closely and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
About you...
We will require candidates to have some knowledge or experience of the following;
Drug and Alcohol knowledge/experience
Criminal Justice knowledge/experience
Working with and/or supporting young people
Case management experience
A qualification in Health and Social is desirable
Please note that a full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, is a requirement for the role.
