Quality Assurance Operative
Job description
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
1. To ensure that the site complies with legislative requirements for Food Safety
2. To ensure the site achieves the required quality standards
3. To implement monitoring of CCP’s
4. To participate in product quality testing, equipment calibration and validations
5. To highlight improvement opportunities, implement actions and monitor results
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1. Manage controlled documents used in the factory – ensure traceability maintained throughout the process
2. Completion of scheduled daily, weekly, monthly checks and other duties as set out by QA Coordinator / Assistant Technical Manager.
3. Ensure effective communication between QAs and between all sectors
4. Raise, report and action non conformances.
5. Reinforce staff company hygiene rules and clean as you go policy
6. Report, Investigate and carry out corrective actions relating to factory foreign body/metal issues
7. Implement GMP at all times
8. Undertake sampling according to schedule for microbiological, chemical and nutritional analysis and update micro reporting system as required
9. Undertake training as required
10. Proactively action and monitor activity arising from QA holds
11. Provide emergency QA cover as may be required in different areas
12. Continual monitoring of product quality
Additional Responsibilities
1. To undertake any training necessary to achieve the required competencies and job objective.
2. To undertake any additional responsibilities as required by the QA Coordinator / Assistant Technical Manager
3. To ensure knowledge of and compliance with all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
4. To ensure knowledge of and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
5. To assist with the training and development of others.
6. To ensure effective communications.
7. To ensure knowledge of and compliance with all Company Policies, Procedures and Rules.
