TeacherActive are looking for fluent Welsh speaking Teaching Assistants in the Monmouthshire area to work in our local Primary Schools. The successful candidate will need to be able to speak the Welsh language fluently and will also need to be experienced working with children across both Foundation phase and Key Stage 2 / KS2. We normally ask for our staff to be flexible between the working times of 08:30am – 15:30pm and you’ll be expected to educate and motivate pupils by using creative resources to contribute to their development whilst following child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• A Teaching Assistant/Childcare qualification OR at least 6 months experience working with children
• Fluent verbal and written Welsh
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Ability to build valued and trusted relationships with students
• A can-do, positive attitude and approach to their work
• Patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations
