Summary
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
o Repairing Timepieces: Diagnosing issues, disassembling, cleaning, and repairing mechanical and electronic watches and clocks.
o Restoring Antique Clocks: Restoring historical or vintage timepieces, maintaining their original design while ensuring functionality.
o Building Custom Timepieces: Designing and crafting bespoke timepieces tailored to customer specifications.
o Maintaining Precision: Ensuring watches and clocks maintain accurate time, adjusting components for optimal performance.
o Clock and Watch Evaluation: Assessing the value, quality, and condition of timepieces, often for appraisals or sales.
o Research: Staying updated on new developments in horology, including advancements in watch technology.
o Customer Service: Providing advice on timepiece care, repairs, and upgrades to clients.
